Getting older doesn't mean feeling older. It means taking your health more seriously

A lot of people assume that pain, stiffness, and slowing down are just part of ageing. Some of it is. But a lot of what we accept as inevitable is actually the result of a nervous system and spine that haven't had the support they needed over the years.

It's never too late to start. And the investment you make in your spine and nervous system now pays dividends in how well you function, and how independently you live, in the years ahead.

Ageing well is a strategy, not a hope

Our chiropractors have cared for patients into their 80s and 90s. The ones who maintain their function, their independence, and their quality of life tend to have one thing in common, they've invested in their health consistently, not just when something went wrong.

Chiropractic care for older adults is adapted entirely to your body and your needs. We meet you where you are, your health history, your existing conditions, your goals, and we build from there.

"The long game is what drives me. Seeing someone in their 70s move better, sleep better, and feel more like themselves, that's exactly what this is for." - Dr Chris Anderson

What We Commonly Help With

Balance and falls prevention

Falls are one of the leading causes of serious injury in older adults, and the nervous system plays a central role in balance and spatial awareness. Research supports chiropractic care as a valuable contributor to falls prevention, with studies showing improved proprioception following spinal care.

Mobility and flexibility

Stiffness that limits movement often comes from restricted joints in the spine and pelvis rather than the muscles alone. Restoring joint movement restores the function that depends on it.

Arthritis and joint pain

Arthritis doesn't mean chiropractic care isn't appropriate. While we can't reverse arthritic changes, we can help the surrounding joints and nervous system function as well as possible, which often makes a significant difference to pain and mobility.

Chronic pain

Long-standing pain can feel like it's just part of life. But the nervous system is remarkably adaptive, and even longstanding patterns can often be improved with the right care. We assess carefully and give you an honest picture of what's achievable.

Back and neck pain

These remain the most common presentations regardless of age. We take particular care with assessment in older adults, including X-rays when appropriate, to understand the full picture before beginning care.

General wellness and vitality

Many of our older patients aren't in significant pain, they come because they want to maintain their function proactively. That's one of the smartest health decisions anyone can make.
